This mixed use project in Nanjing’s growing business district features a 408 meter office and hotel tower, flanked by two smaller residential towers above a retail podium.
Modeled after Woods Bagot’s “Zero E” pilot project, the tower has an optimised external structural frame which carries both vertical and lateral loads in a diagrid pattern, punctuated with multistorey sky gardens. This design has a very efficient, lightweight configuration that provides particularly effective seismic performance.

The project’s retail podium provides an active outdoor “valley” of terraced shops in a landscaped setting, centered on a large open space with an amphitheatre and water features. The retail faces the city with a five and six story screened media facade which opens at regular intervals to allow ventilation and light into common areas.
